Looks like some great information. Well thought out. I think there should also always be room for learning outside of the family as well. There are plenty of activities and ways to open children up to nature and the beauty in it. Try looking into a summer overnight camp this year – one that has a good focus on nature and ways to help it thrive.

This is an amazing article about parenting. I think I once told you that you were great at your job BUT when you have kids you will be even better. I knew I was right then and this just proves it. Your daughter is so lucky to have you and the children you work with and their parents will only gain from your wonderful and caring ways. I am so happy to be able to see and watch you grow as a young mom and now a doctor. I know that your parents must be so proud and I can only hope that Syd (who still idolizes you so much) will one day grow up to be the fabulous woman you are. I realize that I may be one of those people that gave you “unsolicted advice” but I can live with that :) Keep doing what you are doing and other parents will benefit greatly from your wisdom and learn how to listen to that “mommy intuition” that is so so so important to parenting!! One more bit of advice…take what you like and leave the rest. xoxo
